JON RAY has worked in the banking and credit industry for more than 30 years.
Jon is eager to ensure continuous improvement and best practice in the Credit industry and has worked with the FSSC and the ICM in Formulating qualifications within the industry. He is an experienced International training consultant in Credit and Collections having been in the profession since 1985. His responsibilities cover the whole training cycle from needs analysis to evaluation.
On the conference circuit Jon has delivered keynote speeches at the World Congress for Collections and Credit Control in Mexico City and other venues. He has written bespoke training programmes for many of the world’s largest banks, designing strategy and ongoing coaching programmes for all levels of staff. Jon has trained best practice in collections internationally both to collections staff and to other trainers. As a result, these techniques are now trained by others, in local languages, ensuring collections skills are recognised and delivered to a high standard in different parts of the world.
Jon has famously developed and delivered his Master class ‘Profitability and Collections’ for senior managers which has been delivered worldwide to great acclaim.
Jon has developed, written and designed the fl agship credit control/ collections programme ‘Advanced Collections’, delivering outstanding results in different cultures all over the world. He is also responsible for and delivers a twenty-six topic Management Development programme covering the wide spectrum of management skills. Jon was responsible for running the groundbreaking Collections programme ‘Collect with Confidence’ and later for ‘Professional Collections Skills’ and ‘Advanced Collection Training’. He has an in depth knowledge of Total Quality Management having been a key player in its implementation with a blue chip company. Jon holds a TQM recognition award from a major bank.
Jon is a Member of the ICM (Institute of Credit Management) and the Institute for Learning in addition to being a graduate and an Associate Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development). Jon has gained three post graduate Human Resources qualifications from the University of Brighton in HR and Training. He also holds an NVQ level 4 in Training and development (CIPD) which includes the Training & Development Lead Body (TDLB) assessor award.
